Finding Towanda is about reclaiming ones true self. It’s about reconnecting with the fire and the passion that propels all of us. This spark has never truly left, but for many of us, it becomes hidden under the blanket of the stress of the day to day. Towanda is about finding that. The term “Towanda” comes from the 1991 film, “Fried Green Tomatoes” in which the main character, played by Kathy Bates, reclaims her power. Albeit, it is not always in the prettiest or the healthiest way (I don’t condone crashing your car into another car, but hey, no judgments here, sometimes Towanda is a wild beast!). The point is, and yes, I have a point, that this blog is about me finding my Towanda. She is always with me, but sometimes it’s hard to see beyond all of the walls we build up.
There is no point to this blog, rather just a space to ramble and explore as I go on my own journey (feel free to share parts of your journey as well)! It’s not always pretty and doesn’t fit neatly into a box, but it is real and authentic. It is me.
I Love it!! I Love you!! I LOVE this theme!! Thank you for always inspiring me to flourish even when you were struggling to flourish yourself!!
To Flourishing!
